PIECES OF OUR LIVES

Have you ever really noticed
How a patchwork quilt is made?
With all its many pieces
Of different colors and shapes.
Pieces may come from everything,
Maybe an old dress,
Maybe a coat that you have worn,
Or an outfit you'd rather forget.
It is a lot like the lives we live,
And the things that we've been through.
Experiences both good and bad
That our precious Lord can use.
He allows us to learn patience,
Puts wisdom in our hearts.
Teaches us to appreciate happiness,
And deal with pain that tears us apart.
Just like the pieces of a quilt,
Different colors and different scenes.
They can be pieced together
To make a beautiful useful thing.
God can piece our lives together
And use us in his plan.
To be a blessing to others.
To work as Christians hand in hand.
