Dear Lord, I am your follower,
A child of you, Holy King.
I want to share your message,
And the good news that it brings.
A message that is full of love,
That gives us perfect peace.
The message of our Savior,
Who died to set us free.
Dear Lord, you may not call me
To go to a foreign land,
But the mission to spread your gospel
Is with me where I stand.
I may not speak to hundreds,
Or spread your word with song;
But my life can be a sermon
In a world that’s so alone.
Dear Lord, I can be a shining light
Wherever I may go.
I can show my faith in you
As I walk this earthly road.
I can tell of your precious love,
And the grace you’ve shown to me.
Tell of the plan of salvation,
And how to live eternally.
Dear Lord, I am your messenger.
Send me where I need to be.
Whether foreign land or home sweet home.
I know you’ll be with me.
